More power, better traction, less shifting. Wolf Tooth oval chainrings use our proprietary PowerTrac design that has all the benefits of oval, but without the funky, uneven pedal stroke. Ride one once and you'll wonder why you waited so long to try oval. Think of an oval chainring as two chainrings in one. A major benefit of oval is how the shape of the chainring alters your gearing in two important phases of your pedal stroke by harnessing your body's natural biomechanics. Here's how it works. The area of the chainring with the larger diameter engages with the chain at the optimal point on the downstroke, which is what's known as the Power Zone. If you were to look at a clock, the Power Zone would be between 1-5 and 7-11. Conversely, the Recovery Zone – back to the clock face, between 11-1 and 5-7 – is the weakest part of the pedal stroke, when the oval maximizes your efficiency. A 34T oval chainring behaves like a 36T chainring when you want power, while behaving like a 32T chainring when you're climbing. We've also engineered our oval chainrings to provide smoother, more efficient pedal rotation. This equates to better traction because of steadier torque on the rear wheel. With a Wolf Tooth oval chainring, you can harness more of your strength in the Power Zone, while having easier pedaling in the Recovery Zone. These chainrings are for Shimano GRX cranks. They feature our patented Drop-Stop® design for the best wear life, chain retention, and mud clearance. Drop-Stop ST is specifically for the Shimano 12-speed Hyperglide+ chain, which is used by GRX 12-speed. Drop Stop-B works with all other 9, 10, 11, and 12-spd chains, including SRAM Flattop. Compatibility: - Shimano GRX cranksets including RX600 and RX810 - Drop-Stop ST is designed for Shimano 12-speed Hyperglide+ chains - Drop-Stop B tooth profile is compatible with SRAM Flattop chain - Wolf Tooth's patented Drop-Stop wide/narrow tooth profile provides the ultimate chain retention and mud-shedding ability - Use Drop-Stop B for all SRAM Eagle, SRAM Road and Transmission (T-Type) Flattop chains, 9, 10, and 11spd chains or 12spd KMC, Connex, Wippermann, Campagnolo. DROP-STOP B - Compatible 9, 10, 11, and 12s SRAM Eagle, 12s SRAM Transmission (T-type) Flattop, 12s Campy, 12s KMC - Not compatible with 12s Shimano HG+ chains Recommendations - - If you plan to ride in very muddy conditions, we recommend a chainguide or chainkeeper in addition to a clutch-type rear derailleur. Without these precautions, you may experience chaindrops and/or chainsuck. Tech Specs: - Weight: 38t/72g | 42t/92g | 46t/102g - Material: 7075-T6 aluminum - Chainline: 50mm (same as Shimano GRX chainrings) - Made in the USA

The Wolf Tooth axle uses a captive steel washer under the head to reduce friction on the fork leg. This protects your expensive fork, transfers more of the tightening torque to clamping load for a stiffer interface and prevents the axle from sticking or galling when you want to remove it. These are also a great replacement option for lost or damaged stock axles. Always apply a small amount of grease to the washer and threads when installing. - Designed and manufactured in Minneapolis, MN USA 7075 T6 Aluminum

These 102 BCD rings fit Shimano XTR M960 -- they cannot be used on any other crankset! Only purchase this chainring if your crankset looks like the one in the photo on this page. Color: Black Rings have 50mm chainline. All chainrings feature our Drop-Stop tooth design and are made from 7075 Aluminum. Use a 10 or 11 speed chain. If using a 9 speed drivetrain, plan to use a 10 speed chain (it will shift fine), as the 9 speed chain fits too loosely on the ring. *** Be sure to order a colorful set of Wolf Tooth chainring bolts to go with you new ring! Order the 6mm (short) bolt+nut combo. ***
$68.00 - $77.00
These fit all common cranksets using 104 BCD mounting. See this WTC Tech Document if you have a Shimano Double M785 XT or M665 SLX double crankset Note that the 30T chainring is threaded and has a 48 mm chainline. All other rings have 50mm chainline. Be sure to order a colorful set of Wolf Tooth chainring bolts to go with your new ring! For the 30T order our 10mm (long) bolts and all other sizes order the 6mm (short) bolt+nut combo. Color: Black 110 mm BCD chainrings to fit standard cranks with 5 bolt, 110 mm spiders. Does NOT fit on the cranksets for Shimano DA 9000 / Ultegra 6800. They WILL work with 11 speed chains. Strongly recommend a 10 or 11 speed chain. If using a 9 speed drivetrain, plan to use a 10 speed chain (it will shift fine), as the 9 speed chain fits too loosely on the ring. *** Be sure to order a colorful set of Wolf Tooth chainring bolts to go with you new ring! Order 6mm (short) bolt+nut combo. *** Note on mud: wide/narrow chainrings do no work well in heavy mud (Wolf Tooth or any other brand) if you plan to ride in very muddy conditions, we recommend a chainguide or chainkeeper and clutch-type rear derailleur! Without these precautions, you may experience chaindrops and/or chainsuck. Color: Black 130 mm BCD chainrings to fit standard cranks with 5 bolt, 130 mm spiders. Order the 6mm (short) bolt+nut combo. 38T important note: The chain will contact the spider arm slightly when using the 38T chainring (see photo below). We recommend filing a small chamfer on the spider arm but you can also just install it and let the chain do the work. This is only an issue with the 38T as the 130 BCD was designed for 39T smallest ring. All chainrings feature our Drop-Stop tooth design and are made from 7075 Aluminum. Use a 10 or 11 speed chain. The only brand of chain we don't recommend is Wippermann. Product weights: 38t - 52g, 40t - 60g, 42t - 62g, 44t - 79g

You asked for it, we made it -- the Wolf Tooth GC is now available in a slightly smaller size! Most of the low gearing from its big brother with improved shifting in the smaller cassette cogs. Be sure to check out the GC tech page for more details This cassette sprocket is only for use with Shimano brand 10spd XT & XTR cassettes. It is NOT compatible with any other brand or model of cassette. The shift points are properly timed to the tooth locations on the 36T Shimano cogs for optimal shifting performance. Use of this cassette sprocket requires removal of the 17T or 15T cog & spacer from your cassette. Note on “B-screw”: We have found a longer screw is almost never needed with SRAM derailleurs and only needed for about 50% of Shimano derailleurs. We have added it as a separate item in our accessories category. If you think you might need the longer screw, order one separately or just go to your local hardware store and pick up an M4 x 25 socket head cap screw. You may need a longer chain than what is presently on your bike. Make sure that when shifted to the 40T cog, there is still some amount of forward travel possible with the rear derailleur cage. This is especially important on bikes with rear suspension. We have tested with Shimano, KMC & SRAM chains – all function well. Compatible only with the following Shimano 10spd cassettes XT 11-36t (CS-M771) XTR 11-36t (M980) Not compatible with SLX 11-36 cassettes because the 17t cog cannot be removed. Note: unlike the 42T, the GC 40T will usually work with 2011 or older SRAM rear derailleurs. We cannot guarantee it on all bikes however. Weight 79g

The GC42 cassette cog is so big that when machining the first batch, the machinist thought he made a mistake! If being big is cool then the GC42 cassette cog is the coolest cog around. This cog is made with the precision and finish our customers have come to expect from WTC, and this enables quite possibly the best feeling shift in the cassette. Be sure to check out the GC tech page for more details This cassette sprocket is only for use with Shimano brand 10spd XT & XTR cassettes. Weight 86g Note: the GC 42 is not compatible with 2011 or older SRAM rear derailleurs due to the location of the upper jockey wheel. It is difficult or impossible to get satisfactory shifting with the 2011 or older SRAM rear derailleurs so we do not recommend using the GC 42 if you have one of these. The GC 42 works great with the newer SRAM rear derailleurs however.

The best ways to tell the vintages of your rear derailleur is 1) If you have a type 2 (clutch type) rear derailleur it is 2012 or newer and 2) the upper jockey wheel on 2012 and newer rear derailleurs are offset from the derailleur cage's axis of rotation. It is difficult and sometimes impossible to get satisfactory shifting with the 2011 or older SRAM rear derailleurs so we do not recommend using the GC 42 if you have one of these. Color: Black These bash rings attach directly to our direct mount Drop Stop chain rings. These are designed for XC, trail and enduro riding. They are not meant for downhill use where heavy impacts are expected. You will need short (6mm long) chainring bolts/nuts to mount the 28T-36T bash rings (we recommend the Wolf Tooth ones sold here on our store). The 24/26T bash ring includes M5 mounting bolts. *** Note: These will not fit any other chainring or spider -- only Wolf Tooth SRAM direct mount! *** Made from 7075-T651 aluminum. Product weights: 24/26 - 44g, 28/30 - 47g, 32/34 - 50g

Color: Black These can also be used on a BB30 / PF30 long spindle crankset -- the 3rd product picture shows you how to determine if you need this ring or the Short Spindle BB30. This SDM ring is dished in ~6mm, whereas the BB30 short spindle ring is flat. These are Direct Mount chainrings for SRAM GXP crank. This will replace you existing chainring and spider, which is attached via 3 bolts on the back side of the spider near the spindle. You will use these same 3 bolts to attach the SDM ring. SDM chainrings fit on SRAM S2200, S2210, X9, X0, X01, XX1, Truvativ AKA Cranksets (GXP version) only. Newer S1400 (or X7) cranksets with removable spiders will work with SDM rings. Older versions of these cranksets may not have removable spiders. If the crankarm and the spider are all made from the same piece of aluminum it is not removable. Chainline is 50mm on all rings (on a GXP or BB30 long spindle crankset). We think these bolts the best on the market. They have a 5 mm hex socket and are 10 mm long so you can use a bash ring with your 30T x 104 chainring. The bolt length is laser engraved on the head to avoid confusion with shorter bolts. Simply better. No nuts are included with these bolts because the 30t x 104 chainring has threaded standoffs. These work great with Wolf Tooth or any other brand threaded M8 x 0.75 chainrings. Designed and manufactured in the USA from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy. Torque: 6-7 N-m MAX with light grease on the threads only. Product weight - 4 bolts = 4g
$24.95
We think these bolts and nuts are the best on the market. Other short bolts/nuts designed for single rings use a slotted nut that is likely to strip-out the first time you use it. Ours use a large hex socket on both the bolt (5 mm) and the nut (6 mm). Bolts are 6 mm long and have the length laser engraved on the head. Simply better. These work great with Wolf Tooth 5 bolt rings or any other brand 5 bolt single chainrings. Designed and manufactured in the USA from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy. Torque: 6-7 N-m with light grease on the threads only. Product weight: 5 bolts = 9g

This 94 BCD 5-bolt ring will serve all your Vintage crankset and Surly OD crankset needs. - Fits any 94 BCD 5-bolt crankset (modification may be needed) - Drop-Stop technology. On Wolf Tooth’s patented wide/narrow chainring, the wide side of the tooth has maximum contact on the drive side which spreads the load and improves chainring life. The narrow side allows clearance for mud and debris which reduces friction. - Alternating wide/narrow tooth pattern prevents chain derailment Compatibility: - Four of the holes are threaded and one is a normal through bolt hole (done for Surly compatibility). Use a stock 10mm chainring bolt for the fifth, hidden arm. - These rings fit any 94 BCD 5 bolt crankset (possible alterations needed to fit some crankarms) - For Plus size bike applications with the Surly OD crankset, e.g. Instigator and Krampus, you will need to use the stock spacers (Spacer Kit QBP Part number CR8609) that came with your 1x setup. You will also need some 16mm bolts which can be purchased from Problem Solvers. - If using a 9-speed drivetrain use a 10-speed chain (shifts and works well on a 9-speed drivetrain and fits the ring tighter for better chain retention). - Provides a great chainline on most boost bikes. - Chainline (approximate as BB centering and cranksets vary) DROP-STOP A Wolf Tooth Drop-Stop A is the original patented wide/narrow chainring compatible with multiple drivetrain brands including 9, 10, 11, and 12spd SRAM Eagle, KMC, Wippermann, etc. Recommendations If you plan to ride in very muddy conditions, we recommend a chainguide or chainkeeper in addition to a clutch-type rear derailleur. Without these precautions, you may experience chaindrops and/or chainsuck. Tech Specs: - Weight: 28t/37g | 30/48g | 32t/57g - Material: 7075-T6 aluminum - Made in the USA

Compatibility: - These rings are for use with Shimano 110 BCD Asymmetric 4-bolt cranks. - Compatible with Dura Ace 9000, Ultegra 6800, 105 5800, Tiagra 4703 or 4700, Sora R3000 or R3030, and Claris R2000 or R2030 cranks. - Sizes 40T and larger are compatible with Dura Ace 9100, Ultegra 8000, and 105 R7000 but a slight modification is required due to a change in the crank arm profile. The 38T chainring will not work for this modification. Click here to review the process for the modification, which takes about 5 minutes to perform. - NOT compatible with Dura-Ace R9200, Ultegra R8100, and 105 R7100 Cranks - Mounts in the big ring position of the cranks but is offset inward for perfect chainline. - The stock 2x bolts will not work. You will need our 6mm bolts which are optimized for single ring mounting. - Wolf Tooth's patented Drop-Stop® wide/narrow tooth profile for the ultimate chain retention and mud shedding ability - If using a 9-speed drivetrain use a 10-speed chain (shifts and works well on a 9-speed drivetrain and fits the ring tighter for better chain retention). - Chainline - 47.5mm DROP-STOP A - Wolf Tooth Drop-Stop A is the original patented wide/narrow chainring compatible with multiple drivetrain brands including 9, 10, 11, and 12s SRAM Eagle, KMC, Wippermann, etc. - NOT compatible with 12s SRAM Transmission (T-Type) Flattop, 12s Shimano HG+, or 12s Campy DROP-STOP B - Compatible 9, 10, 11, and 12s SRAM Eagle, 12s SRAM Transmission (T-type) Flattop, 12s Campy, 12s KMC - Not compatible with 12s Shimano HG+ chains Recommendations - - If you plan to ride in very muddy conditions, we recommend a chainguide or chainkeeper in addition to a clutch-type rear derailleur! Wolf Tooth was first to market with cyclocross 1x specific chainrings because we saw cyclocross as the perfect use for our Drop-Stop® technology. Since their release, the uses for these rings has expanded beyond cyclocross to commuting, gravel riding, and even full on-road applications with the giant 52t rings. - Fits 130 BCD 5 arm cranksets - Drop-Stop technology. On Wolf Tooth’s patented wide/narrow chainring, the wide side of the tooth has maximum contact on the drive side which spreads the load and improves chainring life. The narrow side allows clearance for mud and debris which reduces friction. - Alternating wide/narrow tooth pattern prevents chain derailment Compatibility: - These rings are for use with 130 BCD 5-arm cranksets. - Do NOT fit on the cranksets for Shimano DA 9000 / Ultegra 6800 - Not compatible with Campy CX10/11. - SRAM Exogram cranksets with inset nut must use stock fifth bolt + spacer(s). The Force CX1 bolt features a fifth bolt with 1x specific shoulder. This kit can be found online. - 38T important note: The chain may contact the spider arm slightly when using the 38T chainring (see last photo in the product images). We recommend filing a small chamfer on the spider arm but you can also just install it and let the chain do the work. This is only an issue with the 38T as the 130 BCD was designed for 39T smallest ring. - Stock 2x bolts will not work. You will need bolts like our 6mm bolts which are optimized for single ring mounting. Tech Specs: - Weight: 38t/52g | 40t/60g | 42t/62g | 44t/79g | 52t/132g - Material: 7075-T6 aluminum - Made in the USA - This 1x chainring and can be mounted in either the inner or outer ring position of a double crankset but can not be used in a 2x setup. - Chainline - The most common mounting is in the outer ring position because of chainstay clearance. The ring centerline is ~2mm from the ring's mounting face so they usually sit about 2mm closer to the frame than the stock big ring (depends on the stock ring) Use Drop-Stop B for all SRAM Eagle, SRAM Road and Transmission (T-Type) Flattop chains, 9, 10, and 11spd chains or 12spd KMC, Connex, Wippermann, Campagnolo. Recommendations - If you plan to ride in very muddy conditions, we recommend a chainguide or chainkeeper in addition to a clutch-type rear derailleur. Without these precautions, you may experience chaindrops and/or chainsuck.

These nickel-plated chainrings were designed to look great on the Cane Creek eeWing titanium cranksets. They also work great on SRAM direct-mount cranksets. The Shimano XTR, XT, and SLX 12spd Hyperglide+ chain works differently than other products on the market so Wolf Tooth engineers developed a completely new tooth profile to provide optimal chain retention and durability when using this new chain technology. - The new HG+ chain interacts with the chainring much differently than a traditional wide/narrow design. Wolf Tooth engineers spent the time to understand how the system works and design a new tooth profile that is optimized for this system. - Engineered proprietary tooth profile maintains the quiet and smooth performance of the HG+ drivetrain with legendary Wolf Tooth chain retention. - Prevents premature ring and chain wear that can come from non-optimized profiles. More power, better traction, less shifting. Wolf Tooth oval chainrings use our proprietary PowerTrac design that has all the benefits of oval, but without the funky, uneven pedal stroke.
