Crank up the good times on Pivot's Mach 4 Carbon. This versatile, capable trail master takes on all comers with 115mm of dw-link travel. We know, we know, EVERY bike out there says it climbs efficiently and descends like a banshee. However, Pivot has a well-earned reputation of backing it up. With a frame weight of around 5.1 pounds, this thing jumps when you hit the gas. Add the dialed geometry and the Mach 4 Carbon hits well above its XC weight and travel when it comes to getting rowdy on real trails. Pivot places a premium on frame stiffness, they know that translates to faster cornering and better handling. So you're equipped with a 92mm-wide BB, stout 142x12mm rear through-axle, and a 1-piece carbon rocker link. And, Enduro Max cartridge bearings grace all suspension linkages for durability. To keep the frame clean, you've got ports for full internal routing, including the dropper post.

DW Link. Each dw-link frame is engineered for an optimum wheel rate and to work for a specific use with a specific spring and damper. Unlike other suspension systems, dw-link’s does not rely on pedaling platform type dampers, giving excellent bump absorption and traction. You can use this to your advantage and pump terrain in the trail to add momentum.

As your suspension reacts to obstacles, the position sensitive dw-link axle path intelligently changes to meet the demands of the trail. In the beginning of the travel, its rearward profile gives incredible small bump absorption and traction on the climbs. In the middle of the travel, the dw-link axle path works with the front suspension to provide a balanced feel for cornering confidence and jumping control. The end of the travel provides an increase in compression damping for bottomless suspension feel and big hit absorption.

dw-link uses short, stiff links, aligned in the direction of incoming forces, and a triangulated rear swingarm. This layout aligns suspension forces in the most efficient layouts possible to enable frame designs with industry leading strength-to-weight ratios and stiffness.
